Dear colleagues
On behalf of the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS) and the Local Organising Committee, we are thrilled to extend an invitation to you to participate in the 8th Biennial Conference of the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS).
Every two years, SAHCS convenes a flagship 3-day scientific and clinical conference, drawing healthcare providers from both public and private sectors.
The SAHCS conference brings together clinicians, researchers, programme implementers, policymakers and community stakeholders from across the region and internationally. The conference serves as a leading platform for knowledge exchange, clinical skills development and dissemination of new research and policy developments in HIV and related fields.
The conference, recognised for its leadership in HIV activism and management, will be held from 25 to 27 August 2027, at Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
Since our inaugural conference in 2012, significant strides have been made in the fight against HIV, TB, and associated illnesses. However, our journey doesn’t end here; we strive for further advancements.
Join us as we present groundbreaking data, commemorate our shared accomplishments, explore scientific progress, and influence the future with essential interventions spanning biomedical, psychosocial, and policy realms.
Your participation is crucial. Together, we can expedite our endeavours to significantly reduce new HIV infections, decrease mortality from advanced HIV disease, attain sustained viral suppression, and play a decisive role in ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
We look forward to engaging with you and welcoming you to Johannesburg, South Africa.
Warm regards
Southern African HIV Clinicians Society
